Gabrielle Reece is a world-renowned athlete, TV personality, New York Times bestselling author, model, wife and mother. At 6’ 3” the former professional beach volleyball player, and Nike's first female spokeswoman, Gabby Reece is the definition of both athleticism and feminine beauty. Gabby’s commanding presence, passion for healthy living, and fitness expertise makes her a popular leader in the world of health and wellness.
Gabby took up volleyball in 11th grade when she and her mother moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Gabby received an athletic scholarship to Florida State University, where she majored in communications and played two seasons of volleyball before booking modeling jobs in New York.
In the spring of 2012, Gabby was invited to Washington, DC to speak at the annual TEDMED conference on innovations in health and medicine. Gabby also has an ongoing relationship with the American Heart Association Teaching Gardens, an initiative that benefits needy schools through the planting of organic gardens.
Together with her husband, surfing legend Laird Hamilton, Gabby empowers people to take responsibility for their own health. She is a truly authentic example of healthy living. Gabby and Laird’s inspiring lifestyle led to the launch of an all-encompassing fitness program called XPT in early 2016. The objective of XPT is to increase human performance with a training approach modeled after Laird and Gabby’s day-to-day fitness regimen.
From Andy:Wow...how do you follow that up? In spending over an hour one-on-one with Gabby, it's clear to me why she has achieved the level of success she has in life. She's honest, real, willing to talk about just about anything, and is always looking both inward to grow and learn, and outward to serve others. A few of highlights from the show:
- How the life of her husband, big wave surfer Laird Hamilton, is way more than just glory and glamor
- What it means to be loyal to yourself
- How to beat stress by anticipation
- Visualization technique for a deep, full inhale
- Why you should start practicing nasal breathing
You're going to love every moment of this one...promise!
