Destinations and the Lost Souls of Railway Stations - Life’s Stoic Journey
Welcome to The Copinghagen Podcast, where we navigate the labyrinth of modern life through the wisdom of ancient philosophy. I’m your host, Patrick Cullen. Today, we find ourselves at a familiar location: the railway station. A place teeming with movement and stillness, purpose and aimlessness.
Different people go to railway stations. Obviously, some have tickets, destinations; some are going away, and some are going home. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, there are those who don’t seem to go anywhere. The drug addicts, the alcoholics, the homeless, the crazies, and the lost and lonely souls. Why do they go there? Is it because, deep down, they know they lack a destination in life? That they are heading nowhere and desperately want to be heading somewhere, anywhere but where they are?
