Manage episode 344611145 series 3406870
In today’s episode, we get to chat with, former Director of wine special projects at the renowned Momofuku and Eleven Madison Park restaurants, Founder of Bellus Wines and RAMONA, Jordan Salcito! Jordan delves into her journey in creating her now very successful business RAMONA and what it took to get there. She sheds light on the many changes and challenges she and her team faced along the way, to better help us navigate this world of entrepreneurship and give us perspective and understanding of how we too can make it happen for ourselves. But note, entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, but it certainly helps to build a strong and resilient one!
We further discuss:
- Understanding the “why” in every business and personal decision
- Importance of having problems to solve (not to necessarily create them, plenty make their appearance on their own)
- Rebranding in the course of your business building
- The importance of holding your ground on your company’s values and morals.
- Knowing what you are putting in your body (that includes what it’s packaged in).
- Winning strategies in business
- How motherhood may not always be planned, but can certainly be a motivator
- That what you set out to do might not always be what you end up doing, or rather in the way you initially envision
- That growth is all about progress, process, re-evaluation, learning, understanding, and changing the way we see the world and think
- That we have to do better with understanding our health and what we put in our bodies especially concerning products we consume and ingest
- That not only ingredients of products themselves that we are consuming can contain dangerous carcinogens among other hazardous waste, but also the containers they are stored in
- That companies don’t have to legally let you know that they used a small form of what would be poison when creating their products
- Do what you love because YOU love it. The product, service, or goods you offer will be better for it as will the demand thereafter
- Be clear on the “problems” you are solving and WHY you are doing what you are doing
- Do what you are doing in service to something bigger and that is the winning strategy
Enjoy the show, and remember Warriors, we are in this together!
