Is it just us, or is everything on social media just engagement farming now? People are posting videos of them crying or doing “good deeds” because it get views, and it feels really phony and a little bit cringe. We’re all for vulnerability online, but there’s a difference in sharing vulnerably and pretending to be sad so that you get likes on Instagram. Don’t even get us started on the stealth-filming of real people living their lives… Is there a right way to share personal things online or are we all doomed to pretend this shit is real forever?
