In this intriguing episode of the "ArTEEtude" podcast, host Detlef Schlich invites Julia Meltzer, a fascinating figure in the punk rock scene, to share her story. The conversation starts with Julia's childhood, marked by constant movement across Germany due to her mother's diverse careers, ranging from DJing to flower selling. This nomadic lifestyle, while offering freedom, also led to feelings of isolation and neglect. Julia discusses her complex family dynamics, including the differing experiences of her siblings.

Detlef relates to Julia's experiences by sharing stories about his family and friends with similar challenging upbringings. The conversation then shifts to Julia's current life in Regensburg, where she has lived for ten years, marking a significant period of stability and self-connection. This transition from a tumultuous past includes overcoming substance abuse and entering new relationships.

The podcast also touches upon Detlef's musical endeavours, including forming a new band and producing songs inspired by his experiences in Ireland. The episode concludes with a hint at discussing Julia's band and her music in future episodes, showcasing the ongoing journey of these creative individuals.
