In an increasingly vulnerable planet, where does environmentalism stand? Professor Andrew Bishop discusses the values pertaining to environmental activism and its stance against societal norms that limit our choices. We discuss the value of academic subjects that might not be calculated in monetary terms-- and the catastrophic consequences of valuing every subject in monetary terms. By the end of the episode, professor Bishop explains his own decisions in life which led him to academia.
