Darnell Fisher is a professional footballer from Reading with over 200 appearances in the SPL and Championship with Celtic, St Johnstone, Rotherham, Preston and Middlesborough.
Age 16, the week after finishing his GCSE's, he was spotted playing for his local team in match against Glasgow Celtic. He went on trial, moved up to Scotland and has been a full time footballer ever since.
In this conversation we discuss what life is actually like as a footballer. The relentless pressure of proving yourself over and again and how it has made Darnell into the man he is today.
Darnell enjoys mentoring and supporting teenagers when he is back in Reading, this is a really good conversation for those who aspire to be footballers and for the people supporting them.
