Have you ever considered giving yourself an entire day off dedicated to your well-being and mental health?

In a world where constant work is the norm, especially in careers and entrepreneurship, it's common to feel guilty for even thinking of taking a day off. We've been conditioned to work all the time.

In this episode, Wendy shares how important it is for your mental health and business to have ONE whole day off to rest. She encourages us to put ourselves first by scheduling a day just for us.

Wendy explains how she personally sets aside "Wendy days" where she disconnects from everyone, even her family, dedicating the day to self-care and mental health. Planning these days in advance is crucial. Once she started scheduling them, it became a non-negotiable part of her life.

Wendy shares how she started to plan these "Wendy days" because she found that her brain and body would end up taking the day off anyway. The difference was that when she didn't plan them out ahead of time- she would feel really guilty and shameful during the time off. The feelings would be so strong she wouldn't actually rest. This defeated the purpose of having a day off.

We have FULL permission to give ourselves to take a day off and prioritize our mental and physical health. Taking these breaks not only leads to better rest and overall well-being but is required if we want to prevent burnout and recharge our mental and emotional energy.
