Bob Beardon and Glade Poulsen talk about how when Bob finally understood the inner workings of Relationship Marketing, MLM, or Network Marketing and how it all worked, it was a lot of fun and we quickly went to the top of several companies compensation plans. However, when some of these MLM companies start to have success, they forget how they got there and for the sake of this being a public podcast, let's just leave it at this point: The owners and management team, well, they sort of lose their minds for a moment, or longer, and things go from a clear vision with millions of new members pouring in monthly and then decisions and direction go completely off the rails!
Bob and Glade explain how the personal growth and development industry and mentors like Jim Rohn and Napoleon Hill helped them deal with adversity and helped develop a real purpose in life. How, as Jim Rohn states, "The wind of adversity blows on us all, however, it is the set of the sail that makes all the difference!" When the wind blows on us all, we need to "Control the Controllable's" and about the own thing we can control is our mind. The three keys to developing your own Mindset, Vision, and Habits comes by controlling the 3 things you can control. 1. What you Read 2. What you Listen to and 3. What you watch!
By controlling the intake of these 3 things, we can begin to overwrite the Neurological Super Highways of our own minds and replace negative self-talk and habits.
