In this episode, Shanti Das has a valuable conversation with NBA Hall of Famer and entrepreneur Chris Webber. C-Webb’s book, “By God’s Grace,” explores his mental wellness journey by interviewing members of his family. Webber shares how one of his lowest moments was turned into a positive. He also shares tips on how Black men can take care of their mental health.
Dr. Sheldon A. Jacobs, President of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southern Nevada, also joins the mibo show. Dr. Jacobs shares the personal challenges that led him to help people deal with mental illness and shares important mental wellness resources developed specifically for Black adults through NAMI’s Community Health Equity Initiative.
