Legendary boxing matchmaker, Roberto Diaz, joins Coach J on the first episode of Season 2 of The Empire Boxing Podcast. Roberto broke into boxing through his friendship with Marco Antonio Barrera and eventually spent over 20 years as a matchmaker, a majority of it with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. He moved on from Golden Boy in 2023 and is now working independently with various boxers and companies in the boxing world. Roberto has made many of the historic matches fans have enjoyed and has worked with some incredible athletes over the course of his boxing career, including legendary boxers like Bernard Hopkins, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Erik Morales, Sugar Shane Mosley, and Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs.
