Are you caught in the trap of always trying to beat your personal best or constantly comparing yourself to others in your physical fitness journey?

You are not alone!

Join me as I chat with Michael Hosking PhD, founder of Revocycle Mind and Body Cycling, about the concept of movement without metrics and how to create a healthier relationship with our bodies and exercise.

We dive into Michael’s personal experience trying to “use movement as a way to be present” and not let metrics rule over his exercise.

Our conversation also covers the effects of diet culture on men and boys, Michael’s own journey with body-image issues, and the damaging impact of gendered messaging around weight loss.

Finally, we discuss the influential sources of diet culture, such as magazines and social media, and how Michael has actively made changes to create a body-neutral and agnostic fitness space.

It was delightful to have this conversation with a fellow Hoosier, who shares the same desire for a different kind of body-positive, anti-metric, inclusive future in the fitness industry.
