Manage episode 456445061 series 3477853
Many people assume Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Baby Jesus. What a lot of people don’t know is that early pagan celebrations of the Winter Solstice influence many Christmas traditions.
The Winter Solstice celebrates the return of the light. It is the shortest day and longest night of the year, which means that from this point forward, days will begin to get longer as we make our way to summer.
In today’s episode, we will explore some of Christmas's pagan origins and discuss how many of these traditions and rituals are connected to goddess worship and the Divine Feminine.
