A fellow cancer survivor, Heat is a writer and photographer whose path includes teaching elementary band, a bout with Hodgkin's lymphoma, health coaching, triathlon, rock climbing, and mom to one son and two dogs. She is occasionally hilarious and always curious and is currently working on helping people have better scripts for interacting with their loved ones with cancer.
