Many women spend a long time thinking through the implications of a career break before they actually decide to take one. Then after it starts, they dive into non-work life without thinking about how to get back in, even though nearly 90% of women want to return at some point. While you can find a way back into the workforce later, the best time to create a strategy for your return is early in your break.

This week on the podcast listen in on my live coaching session with Kristen Schneider, professional working mom turned recent career breaker and co-host of the MOMGUL, where we discuss her decision to take a career break and what she wants out of her career when she returns.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How a passion project can help you develop the courage to take a career break
  • The traps of busyness that can creep up after leaving your career
  • Recognizing the personal changes that occur during a career break, and how they influence the success of your future return to work
  • How to develop personal, professional, and networking strategies designed to help you return to a career that works with your life when you’re ready
