Our first caller Beckie asks as a mother who homeschools and is a devoted wife, how she can find time to take care of herself. Nancy asks what is getting in the way of her self-care and advises her to task her children with doing more and to reach out to other people who are also going through similar stresses in her community. Our inspirational guest Julie Overlease watched her parents separate at just 7 years old. This led her to understand that in the future she would want a stable and close family. Julie would go on to marry Robby. However, they would later discover he had a life-threatening clot in his lower extremity. He would recover, but as of today the clot has returned. Julie has experienced even more scares with her daughter. On one normal day, her daughter had a life-threatening brain injury after a section of a tree fell and hit her. Julie rushed to her daughter's side and began praying. Tune in to learn how Julie was able to keep hoping on even through some of the most trying times in her life.
Perhaps you are afraid that situations in your life may go wrong at any moment. Maybe you have constant anxiety about the unknown future. Sometimes we can get caught up in the possibility of errors. Recognizing that sometimes plans go wrong and embracing that with a positive attitude exemplifies what it means to live full out.
