In this episode, I chat with accredited practising dietitian, Dr Flávia Fayet-Moore.

Dr Flávia has an impressive résumé:

  • She is a scientist, dietitian, nutritionist, researcher and entrepreneur.
  • As the founder and CEO of Nutrition Research Australia, she maintains her independent and credible voice on all things nutrition, health and wellbeing.
  • She is the co-founder of Food is Cool, where nutrition in schools is done differently.
  • She is a fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
  • Finally, Dr Flávia is an adjunct lecturer at Newcastle University and a honorary associate at the University of Sydney.

In the episode, Dr Flávia and I chat about:

  • why fruits and vegetables are so important in our diet;
  • the latest statistics on fruit and vegetable consumption;
  • the recommended serves for fruits and vegetables;
