217. Healthy Habits- Increasing Your Mental Health and Faith Confidence

Do you find it hard to get into a rhythm? YOu want closeness with God but you can’t seem to make the time to get into your word or to even pray? You are so busy with life and overwhelmed with al the things that you can’t seem to get a grip on your spiritual faith walk? Well we are going to dive into some healthy habits that will increase your confidence as a believer and help your mental capacity! If you are here for it, then let’s get to it!
3 healthy habits that I love to do EVERYDAY that really help kick start the day and now they are really just like clockwork in my day…

  1. Exercise- whatever this looks like to you…at least 30 mins a day of exercise- there are multiple benefits of moving our bodies…and alot of them have to do with mental health! It’s up to us to keep our physical and mental bodies healthy!
  2. Sleep! Studies who that at least ⅓ of the population isn’t get the sleep they need! What?? AND women are likely to struggle with the sleep that they get…insomnia etc. Probably because we overload ourselves and have so many things going on in our brains that we have a hard time shutting off.
    1. Practical tools- keep a notepad nearby(or notes app in your phone) to brain dump when you can!
  3. Cut back on sugar and processed foods(eating out)- Have you ever heard the expression you are what you eat? It seemed silly at the time but So many studies show that what we eat determines how we look & feel. I’m not so much worried about the look even though how we look determines our mental health too( I find that I need to get dressed here and there otherwise I start to feel super frompy and that takes a toll on your mental health friends!!)
    1. Sugar especially has so many side effects and it’s addictive! It seems like a quick fix to our emotional woes at the time but it doesn’t serve us well. Now again this is in moderation. You don’t have to go super crazy and just don’t eat anything. If you DO want to do that, that’s awesome…I bet you won’t regret it! BUT I know cutting out sugar is hard and I love me some peanut butter m&ms from time to time! I’m saying we need to eat less of it and dn’t let it be the thing we run to when we are having a hard time or are on our periods :)
  4. The 4th and most important thing is to read your bible. I CANNOT say this enough. I know I sound like a broken record but we need it! Read your bible and learn to hear from God in this way…there is NO better habit to create in your life than this!
