Giant is dedicated to fighting against hunger and food insecurity, donating $980,000 from the Giant Family Foundation and over four million pounds of food donations. In 2020, Giant’s Lend a Hand for Hunger program raised $1.1 million since 2020 on behalf of customers to support local Feeding America food bank partners aiding those in need in the region—Capital Area Food Bank, Maryland Food Bank, Food Bank of Delaware, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.
