Finding Flow Through Quiet Time with Brian Plachta
Manage episode 438595489 series 3565379
In today’s episode, I’m talking to a fellow Awakenpedia partner Brian Plachta - attorney-turned-author, spiritual mentor, and teacher. Brian holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling and is a certified Spiritual Director. After taking a spiritual gifts inventory in his 30s, he discovered God was inviting him to a life of writing, teaching, and mentoring others on the spiritual path. For several years, he retired from his job as an attorney at the law firm he had established so he could follow the call to serve others in new, life-giving ways. Brian’s recent book is Finding Flow—Spiritual Practices to Reclaim Inner Peace, Balance, and Wholeness. His upcoming book, Discovering the Power of Divine Flow—The Contemplative Path to Direct Experience with God, will be published next year. In our conversation, Brian shares how he slowly shifted his life to the spiritual path and some of the main tools he uses and teaches. Brian will facilitate a guided meditation during the next Awakenpedia Freedom from Anxiety virtual retreat on September 28th @ 6:15 am. Please welcome Brian Plachta!
