Strike Out
Sadly, today’s show is part of the rapidly approaching conclusion of Drewling Samantics Season Eight, with just this episode before the chaps plunge into their ever popular “Best of” compilations. But there is definitely nothing mundane about it, as Drew and Sam provide more diverse and stimulating conversations regarding very topical events in the entertainment world.
As is often the case, they begin by honouring two lost performers - one a quiet self- deprecating “workman” of the theatre, and the other a true icon of the sixties. And, it is clear that the privilege of being able to raise a drink to hugely talented professionals is never taken for granted by our podcasting pair.
Then some rather pressing issues for present day actors are addressed, as, although the subject of Artificial Intelligence and its ramifications has been discussed at length in a previous episode, certain elements of the influence and implications of using AI have significantly intensified in recent times. It is a subject that can’t be ignored, and no doubt one that will be revisited again in future episodes, but for now the boys dig deep into the latest information and developments.
So Season Nine is on the horizon, but before that there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy this current one. So what are you waiting for?!
