Today’s guest is Alex Labson. Alex has her Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and is a mom to a 1 year old little boy. Today, Alex and I talk about the domino effect through the generations before us that created the “almond mom” culture and how our generation recognizes its effects, and we are passionate to change the script for ourselves, our children, and generations that follow. Alex first shares how she niched into the “almond mom” persona, where it got its name, what it means, and common trends around food and body image. Alex speaks about the importance of setting boundaries when someone says negative things about food or body image so you don’t become triggered, and how we can help our generation be full of food positive moms. Alex also shares wonderful advice for the mom who is the food positive, overcoming almond mom. Today’s episode covers:
