Welcome to the latest episode of the Be 1 Change 1 podcast, a platform where we engage in enlightening conversations with influential figures from different walks of life, hosted by CAS and Roscoe. In this episode, we're delighted to bring you an insightful discussion with the team from Elevate Phoenix, a remarkable organization changing lives every day. We'll be sharing a compelling, heartwarming story that underscores the importance and transformative power of mentorship.

In many hard-to-serve urban areas across America, at-risk students face significant challenges. A high number of these students, unfortunately, drop out of school, and those who do manage to graduate often find the path to post-secondary education filled with daunting obstacles. It's a pervasive problem that demands our attention and action. This is where Elevate Phoenix steps in.

Elevate Phoenix is a remarkable organization who’s mission is to embrace these special young individuals. They work tirelessly to transform a once bleak future into one filled with potential prosperity. The organization does this by employing a holistic approach that caters to each child’s unique needs. Elevate Phoenix provides full-time, salaried teacher-mentors who are always there for these students, offering guidance and support. They have also established a year-round programming system that ensures their support is not seasonal or temporary. Their cross-age mentoring and long-term relationship approach ensure that the students have a supportive community they can rely on.

In this episode, we have the privilege to be joined by Tony Montgomery, an Executive Board member for Elevate Phoenix, and Brayam Arguelles, a current board member who was once a student in the Elevate program. Brayam brings a unique perspective to our discussion, as he's seen first-hand the transformative power of the program and the mentorship he received.

Brayam will share his inspiring story with us, detailing how the program and mentorship at Elevate Phoenix helped him navigate through his challenging childhood in the inner city. His journey from a life fraught with difficulties to becoming one of the state's top mortgage brokers stands as a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and the incredible work being done by Elevate Phoenix. Tune in, and prepare to be inspired.
