The Flat Life- An Interview with Robyn Smith
Manage episode 451740577 series 3587184
Kris and Cass bring you an interview with the incredible Robyn Smith this week.
Robyn shares her inspirational story about her prophylactic mastectomy, her subsequent reconstruction, and her experiences with breast implant illness, leading to her eventual decision to go flat.
Through her work with Pink Hope Australia (now called Inherited Cancers Australia) and Flat Life Australia, she impacts the lives of many within the hereditary cancer, mastectomy, and flat community spaces. From the moment Kris and Cass met Robyn, they knew they had discovered a Soul Breastie, and they hope you think so too.
You can follow Robyn's work and advocacy on Instagram @inheritedcancersaus. You can watch her in action on Australia's @insight program as she challenges the notion of perfection here: https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/watch/2357547075723. You can also check her out in the 'It Takes Boobs' campaign here: https://campaignbrief.com/stella-insurance-launches-provocative-global-brand-campaign-it-takes-boobs-via-cocogun/.
What is Robyn loving right now that she thinks our breasties should too?
As an avid runner, Robyn can't get enough of the admirable Louise Butcher, a.k.a. The Topless Marathoner. Kris and Cass couldn’t agree more, and if you haven't heard their interview with her, you can find her episode on this very podcast (Season 2, Episode 1).
