Manage episode 407173413 series 3558527
How’d you do in high school biology?? Yeah, me neither…
I vaguely remember talking about the processes of equilibrium and homeostasis. Still, it wasn’t until I was in counseling a short while ago that I learned they also apply to human relationships and our own psyche!
While they may be healthy in the world of science, when we’re talking about them as a reaction to our growth and change to better mental health, we need to know how to minimize their influence on our own lives.
Perhaps someone in your life is starting to change and act differently. Or are you changing and beginning to realize that you need to act or be somehow different? A healthier you, perhaps?
I’m talking today about the times when you may realize a change is in order and it may not be sitting too well with those around you.
Here are 3 ways to minimize the effects of people’s, um, let’s say “unsupportive” behavior, as YOU are starting to grow and change and move towards health.
Are you trying to accomplish a personal pivot in life? Realizing that there is a healthier way to live - and getting push-back in the process? Then let me encourage you to grab my download "Affirmations to Strengthen my Personal Balance." It’s a collection of Scripture and uplifting quotes to strengthen the “new you” that’s coming about… The link is in the show notes here:
