Grief is like an itchy sweater that you can’t take off.
Sometimes it’s the only thing we can think about. Sometimes we get distracted by life and it becomes a dull sensation in the background or disappears all together. Until we get triggered and reminded of a memory..

  • What is your relationship with grief?
  • What have you learned from leaning into discomfort and being brave?

In this episode we explore grief, bravery, forgiveness and gratitude. You’re gonna love it :)

And if you’re navigating a big change right now or seeking tools to process grief from previous events, I’m hosting a workshop with Rooted Woodland “Grief, Grace + Gratitude” on Nov 9 in the Blue Mountains: https://ediegudaitiswellness.com/schedule/

And if you’re not in the GTA, please check out my online program, Journey Through Grief. It includes breathing practices and somatic release tools to help you process grief so you feel more integrated and at ease: https://edie-gudaitis-wellness.mykajabi.com/offers/h2hLngJQ/checkout

These are the key points from our conversation:

  • There is no “right way” to grieve. We all process it differently based on our own relationship and attachment with the loved one who has passed and we all express our emotions differently - based on what feels safe within our own body
  • It’s not about getting over grief. It’s something we move through. It’s important to process the emotions when we feel them, so we gain the deeper wisdom beneath them.
  • Often our own fear of the immensity of grief or our judgement / criticism of our experience with the emotions we feel, intensifies our pain and suffering. When we neutrally observe the sensations and allow them to move through us, we notice they often aren’t as bad as we imagined they might be
  • Forgiveness is the pathway to freedom. We forgive to feel free + at peace within our own heart. And we forgive others to bring peace and space the relationship we shared
  • Choose to be brave + vulnerable. It supports your resilience as you continue to grow + move through life
  • Remember to practice gratitude. It helps you see the gifts and lessons in ALL of your experiences (the joyful + peaceful and the more painful ones) and it expands your capacity to give and receive love
