Giving up control can be difficult. When we are asked to surrender and follow someone else’s leadership or plan, it can be hard to trust that they are leading in the right direction. The same is true in our relationship with Christ. It is hard to fully submit and surrender our lives, give up our control, and allow Him to take the reins of our lives. But that is precisely what God asks of us. He knows that the fruit and gain we will receive when we let Him take control will be much greater than when we do it on our own.
