The Caustic ‘Sorosian Left’ Just Won’t Go Away!
Manage episode 449165833 series 1984948
As we witness statements of disunity and declared opposition—right from the get-go—from New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul and New York State Attorney General Letitia James toward Trump 2.0, we should all recognize that they are simply embracing the time-honored New York political tradition of self-serving, opportunistic, “preservation cowardice.”
From Francis Lewis to Tammany Hall, Hillary “The Carpetbagger” Clinton to Chuck Schumer and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York politicians have always put themselves and their special interest causes ahead of their constituents and have—routinely—exited office much wealthier than their paychecks would afford for doing so.
Today, the main self-involved “Sorosian” loyalists from New York are Hochul (D), James (D), and Judge Juan Merchan (D), the Colombian-born former prosecutor and current acting justice of the New York State Supreme Court in New York County (Manhattan) who presided over the legal abomination that was President-Elect Donald Trump’s “hush money trial”:
* Hochul announced the formation of the Empire State Freedom Initiative to prepare to fight “policy and regulatory threats” from the incoming Trump administration
* James announced her office was “ready to fight back again,” in announcing that “[t]ogether with Governor Hochul, our partners in state and local government, and my colleague attorneys general from throughout the nation, we will work each and every day to defend Americans, no matter what this new administration throws at us.”
* And Merchan, in a meeker move of political cowardice, is considering tossing out Donald Trump’s felony convictions following Tuesday’s election results.
As an aside, Hochul, James, and Merchan aren’t the only Sorosian malcontents to display their arrogance.
The Biden-Harris Department of Justice is said to be furiously winding down its fraudulent Jack Smith-led federal criminal cases against President-Elect Trump. This would end the spate of politically motivated lawfare against the President-Elect, actions that threatened to transform our federal government into one akin to a third-world dictatorship.
And California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) has called a special session of the California State Legislature to protect his state’s neo-Marxian policies from the Trump administration, with the Los Angeles Times opining, “The new special session provides an early look at the governor’s plan to wage an aggressive and highly visible campaign to shield California from the Trump White House.”
A Long Tradition Of Obstruction
Incidentally, did you know that in the quintessential move that started it all for the United States—the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the New York delegates to the Continental Congress were so cowardly in their fear of King George that they could only muster enough courage to “abstain” from voting against a move toward independence for the colonies?
When the Declaration was voted into existence on July 2, 1776, New York's delegates—Francis Lewis, William Floyd, Philip Livingston, and Lewis Morris— abstained from voting for independence. In a politically disingenuous and strategic move, the New York delegates were instructed to wait for further guidance from their Provincial Congress as they put their fingers into the wind to divine which would be the more advantageous course to take…for themselves and their elitist brethren.
The colony of New York was politically divided. There was a significant loyalist presence in the colony who remained loyal to the King and gleaned significant wealth from remaining British subjects. So, to preserve their status and success, many were unwilling to break away from British rule. This division, especially with the wealthy elites on the loyalist side, meant that the Provincial Congress was purposely slow to give the go-ahead for independence.
As a result, the colony of New York took a knee rather than standing with the other twelve colonies whose delegates had the courage to confront the most powerful military on the planet at the time.
Yesterday Predicates Today
Today, the self-serving arrogance of New York’s political elites outshines the opportunism of those who previously held their stations. In their declarations, Hochul, James, and Murchan have announced to the country—in the face of an overwhelming national mandate—that they intend to lead a charge against the people’s full-throated choice and the choice of a growing and significant number of voters in the State of New York.
This is a perfect example of the elitism that has gripped not only New York City and “The Empire State” (and especially among those of the woke Leftist class) but also the nation’s many Blue urban areas.
Of the 141.025 million votes cast in the 2024 General Election for President of the United States (roughly 41.8 percent of the American people), New York cast 7.778 million votes. This is for a population of 19.571 million people, or approximately 39.75 percent of those living in New York.
Of those casting a ballot in New York, just 4,341,453 cast a ballot for Kamala Harris, the loser.
So, let’s do some basic math here. Calculating these numbers, Hochul, James, and Mechan advocate for just 1.29 percent of the American people and 22.19 percent of the people in the State of New York, the scant few people who voted for their unique brand of totalitarianism. That’s an extreme minority of the American people and not even a quarter of the people in the state they are supposedly representing.
Yet the Sorosians—Hochul, James, and Merchan—somehow feel they are entitled to create and continue down avenues of political persecution to negate an electoral mandate the American people have delivered to President-Elect Trump. They feel entitled—because of their addiction to power, their loyalty to the far-Left neo-Trotskyism of the Progressive movement, and their lust for political self-preservation—to place the ideological machinations of just 1.29 percent of the American people above that mandate, ignoring the 3,436,961 people of their own state and the 72,837,965 of people nationally who took a stand against exactly the unilateral totalitarianism they bully onto the main stage.
The very important questions that must be asked here are: Who do they actually serve? Who are their masters? When we answer those questions, we—those who voted for a return to constitutionalism and the obliteration of the Deep State bureaucracy—will know where to apply the disinfectant.
This Also Makes Another Case
The far-Left totalitarian indignance of Hochul, James, and Merchan—as well as Newsom in California—also make an incredibly strong case for—and exemplifies why we must keep and defend—the Electoral College.
Simply put, if we don’t maintain the sanctity of the Electoral College, we will be ruled by the Hochuls, the James', the Merchan’s, and the Newsoms; we will be ruled by the whims of those who sit in the elitist seats of power in our nation’s decidedly partisan urban areas.
To acquiesce to the idea of rule by popular vote is to take a knee to the mob and cede power to the Klaus Schwabs, Bill Gates’ and George Soros'; the global elites. The rights of those who live in all but the urban center counties—those who farm our food and make the products we use—will be ignored and essentially become non-existent.
James Madison, noted as the father of the US Constitution (although some would argue he expounded on the work of George Mason), put it quite succinctly when, in Federalist 49, he emphasized the historical perspective against pure democracy, foreseeing today’s need to defend the Electoral College, saying:
“The experience of all former ages had shown that of all human governments, democracy was the most unstable, fluctuating, and short-lived.”
Looking at this map of the 2024 Presidential General Election results by county, we can see how chilling it would be if only the blue areas had a say in how the entire nation was governed.
This is why the actions of Kathy Hochul, Letitia James, and Judge Juan Merchan—along with the long list of lawfare political persecutions facilitated by the Biden-Harris DoJ and Gavin Newsom’s move in California—were and are so threatening to our Republic.
We are going through a great awakening here in the United States with regard to how selfishly corrupt and unlawful the far-Left has come to be. This awakening must continue to take place, and, evidently, especially in New York State.
