Good morning world, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! Welcome back to Tosh Base podcast. This is episode #057. In today's conversation, you will hear from Dr. Trecia Palmer. She is full of life and passionate about her story and life! She is a medical doctor by training. She is currently completing an integrated Master’s by Research in Cardiovascular Biology and a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Edinburgh.
She has endured several surgical procedures and endured many hospitals stays. She has also been misdiagnosed for 15 years with Neuromyelitis Optica- which is a rare, severe central nervous system autoimmune illness that affects the optic nerve and spinal cord. She has also been blind twice, on life support, and paralyzed seven times. Trecia adds that throughout all of this, as Maya Angelou says, “But still I rise!”. Please, take a listen!
