Where are we seeing God at work? How is He moving in our child's life? These are the questions we must ask ourselves when we seek to bless our children. God is constantly at work, and when we take the time to notice, we can speak those blessings into their lives.
It's a twofold process: first, we must put our own flesh aside. We must ask for the wisdom to see our children as God sees them—to discern where he is shaping, teaching, and leading them.
This is what we want to teach our children—to anchor their hope in Christ. And one way we do that is by speaking blessings, over and over again, so that they can walk in the fullness of his love and grace.
