This latest podcast from The Society of Sports Therapists features Society Member Dale Forsdyke, Senior Lecturer in Sports Injury Management and Subject Director at York St John University and focuses on the psychosocial factors associated with injury and performance.
Dale explains his research, delving in to the initial psychosocial risks associated with injury and the implications for successful return to play. He also gives some excellent practical advice for Sports Therapists related to integration of psychosocial outcome measures following injury. Dale has had a number of studies published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, focusing on the psychology of the sports injury rehabilitation process.
