Before we can answer the title of the podcast we need to look into "Why we get sick" this so happens to be the title of my guest Dr Ben Bikmans book. It takes a deep dive into where it starts and the catalysts events which take place to deepen the issue making sickness a normal part of our life without really focusing on the root cause and preventative health. It's fascinating how one small change in the environment can cause a tsunami in the rest of the body or how one thing is linked to another which is linked to another and so forth. The good news is sickness is preventable giving birth to hope and possibilities. Dr Ben Bikman is a lifelong researcher. He is a professor of pathophysiology and biomedical scientist whose research agenda focuses on the molecular mediators of obesity and its co-morbidities.
