  1. BESS Window Opens Sept. 23
    The Behavioral and Emotional Screening System (BESS) is used for universal mental health screening of all students to proactively meet their needs. Data from the screening helps determine the type, duration, and level of social-emotional or mental health interventions required for students.
  2. Attend One of the Six Regional Educational Engagement Sessions
    Learn about the Denver Schools Thrive Initiative and how DPS is addressing declining enrollment by attending one of the six regional community meetings from late September to mid-October. Interpreters for several languages will be available, along with dinner and childcare. Please RSVP using the provided

  1. Black Education Advisory Council (BEAC)
    The BEAC is seeking new members to help honor and promote Black and Indigenous cultures in DPS. The council is accepting
    applications through Oct. 11. The selection process will take place in Oct.-Nov. Membership is open to DPS students, families, staff, and community members. More information and the application are available in multiple languages.

    FACE U is offering two virtual learning sessions for families:

  1. 23rd Annual Second Wind Fund Walk/Run on Sept. 22
    Join Team DPS for the
    Second Wind Fund walk/run to raise money for suicide prevention. This event supports the mission to reduce suicide rates among youth by removing barriers to treatment. Register to walk, run, or donate, and top fundraisers will receive Second Wind Fund swag.
