Last episode, we were given a glimpse into how housing deficits can impact health outcomes, what Permanent Supportive Housing is and isn’t, and the importance of treating all affected by homelessness with compassion and dignity. Now, in the second half of the interview, we will discuss the good things about Good Shepherd. Since 1983, Good Shepherd has been giving back to the community and working to combat homelessness.
Katrina and Liz Carbone share their experiences and insights into the challenges and successes of addressing homelessness in the southeast, shedding light on the innovative approaches and collaborative efforts driving positive change in the community. From intensive case management to advocacy for housing affordability, their work exemplifies the resilience and compassion needed to combat homelessness effectively.
