It’s happening! It’s finally happening! North Carolina has announced that on December 1st of 2023, Medicaid Expansion would become a reality for more than 600,000 North Carolinians, with access to healthcare services.

We’re celebrating today with Abby Emanuelson, Executive Director of Care4Carolina, a coalition of nearly 200 organizations across the State striving to realize the promises of Medicaid Expansion for all residents.

She’s here today to describe Care4Carolina’s role in the legislative process, implementation, and future role with enrollment.
Before joining Care4Carolina, Abby was the Associate Vice President of Advocacy and Activist Engagement for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where she led federal and State advocacy communications and engagement and managed a national team of policy and advocacy professionals.
