Owner of DK’s Donuts Orange County, Co-founder of The Doughnut Parlor and Downtown Donuts and Coffee in the city of Brea, Adam Vaun is Mayly’s 3rd cousin. He’s a donut kid who is grateful and proud to be part of a family that has impacted the donut industry. He’s continuously looking for more innovative ways to improve the donut industry and always looking for new inspiration and challenges for growth. On this episode, we explore the traditional and untraditional paths that first and second generation Asian Americans face when pressured to take over the family business- and what amazing concepts can be achieved from our unique perspective.
“I was going to pursue [school] then I had to sit down with my parents and tell them, Hey, I don't want to go to college anymore." - Adam Vaun
