Sweden Foodtech was formally founded in 2016 when several long-timers within food and food tech decided to join forces and build Sweden into one of the world’s leading hubs for food tech. Our sister company is Smaka Good Food Festival, one of the world’s largest food festivals and the prime yearly event for the Nordic food scene for the past 30 years. Since its inception, the founders and co-workers of Sweden Foodtech have taken it upon themselves to lead the discussion and development of the next gen food system in Sweden and beyond.

The current food system does not enable consumers to understand what it is they are eating, and how it affects their health and our planet. A couple of generations back we lost the connection between people and food, we moved into cities and we stopped being as engaged in food production anymore as we used to be. Moreover, the world population is exponentially growing, climate is changing and we need solutions to properly feed the next generations. That’s where foodtech comes in

Foodtech is the intersection of food and technology; the application and use of technology to improve agriculture and food production, supply chains, the distribution channels and ultimately consumption. Food innovation also involves the design and development of new products, the improvement or combination of existing food products, research into food trends and food management. These broad definitions cover a very wide field, from companies using science to improve the yields or composition of produce, to businesses working on reducing time to market and simplifying the supply chain, through to the online marketplaces, delivery services and in-house gadgets in the hands of the consumers.

There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to innovation. We work with clients across food industry and develop custom solutions to their needs. In our previous roles we have led teams in the FMCG companies, managed restaurants, worked with and invested in startups. Solutions can be as diverse as our experience. One thing they will have in common is our commitment to sustainability, efficiency and excellent results.

How does that make an impact on mother earth, our lives, the environemnt and our overall well-being? Are we human beings close to collapsing our survival existence with climate change? What does our soul SAY to us in terms of balance and happniess? Why do we have so many addictions? Here is a different viewpoing from Sharon Shanda. Let me please introduce Sharon: 'll share a little about how I came to where I am Now. As a child I was able to see beyond the veil, seeing people and other beings whom I didn't realize others could not see. I was also able to see some future events. I realized later on in life that I was also able to feel other peoples emotions and hear their thoughts. I didn't fully understand any of this at the time, so as I grew older, and realized that the people around me didn't share what I was experiencing, it began to scare me terribly. Being brought up in a traditional religious background, there really wasn't anyone I could talk to openly about what was happening with me. So, after awhile, I just began shutting all these gifts down, trying to fit in. However, I didn't fit in, so I became very withdrawn and extremely shy. And a withdrawn, shy child can become extremely vulnerable to predators. I was saved more times than I can count by other-wordly beings during many situations where I should have died. I realize now that I chose these situations for my personal evolution. And see now that because of these experiences, I grew to become a strong, compassionate, empathic adult. Then my life changed again in 1998 when my stepfather passed away. This was my first physical loss of a person close to me. My dad and I were very close. The night he passed, I clearly saw him walking toward me looking much healthier and without his oxygyn tank. I blinked and he was gone. I was soon to learn after this experience that Dad's journey home also became the beginning of a very intense journey for me back to discovering my gifts. With dad's passing, I needed to find out for my own peace of mind, what happens when we die. I needed to know that Dad still existed. That he still saw us, and that he knew that we missed and loved him. But mostly, I needed to know that he still lived on, existing and learning and living. I needed to know more than I was taught in Sunday school. To try and alleviate my grief, I began reading extensively about life after death. It was during this same time that I began experiencing spontaneous out of body experiences, followed by what is called sleep paralysis. These frequent experiences frightened me, but also intrigued me, because I wanted to know what was happening with me. One day, I came upon a website that talked about OOBE's (out of body experiences) and sleep paralysis, and how the two are thought to be connected. The website talked about controlling your oobe's can lead to conscious inner dimensional travel and connecting with guides and deceased loved ones, and more. That's all I needed, I realized that OOBE's might be the perfect way for me to contact my dad. I made the decision to take control of my OOBE's. I read everything I could get my hands on about OOBE's, and did all the exercises every night. I thought of almost nothing else. And with obsessed persistence I eventually began leaving my body in a controlled manner. I focused my mind and became very dedicated with my intentions. Soon after reaching the controlled out of body state, I was able to find my dad and communicate with him. Not long after in 2001, I was involved in a bizarre accident, experiencing an NDE (near death experience). After experiencing this NDE, I immediately remembered experiencing another NDE when I was 9 years old. I share my 2001 NDE in my blog. My 2001 NDE helped intensify what my guides call my quickening process. I share my experiences, not trying to prove anything to anyone, but just to share. Can using aromatherapy oils every night help improve memory? Being regularly exposed to multiple scents—or olfactory enrichment—has shown promise in enhancing cognitive abilities in older adults. A new study found that using aromatherapy essential oils such as lavender and rose nightly boosted word recall by 226% and improved the functioning of a key brain pathway that plays a role in learning and memory. These findings suggest that olfactory enrichment may be a low cost approach to reduce neurological impairment in older adults. In the United States, cognitive decline, which is characterized by confusion or memory loss, is estimated to affect 11.1% Trusted Source of the population, or one in nine adults. Previous research has shown that cognitive decline is accompanied or even preceded by loss of sense of smell in various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s diseaseTrusted Source, dementia, and Parkinson’s diseaseTrusted Source. Some research indicates that regular exposure to multiple scents or odorants — a practice known as olfactory enrichment — can have beneficial effects on cognitive abilities in older adults. In a new clinical study, researchers at the University of California, Irvine, examined if a nightly aromatherapy regimen for six months could improve cognitive skills in older adults. They observed significant improvements in word list recall as well as improved functioning in the part of the brain known as the left uncinate fasciculus after olfactory enrichment with aromatherapy oils. 7 different aromatherapy scents For the study, the researchers recruited 43 participants, ages 60–85 years, who were in good general health with healthy cognition. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups. The experimental group, made up of 20 individuals, was exposed to essential oils nightly. Meanwhile, the control group, made up of 23 participants, was exposed to trace amounts. For six months, the participants were exposed to either a higher or lower concentration of essential oils nightly for two hours as they were going to sleep, using a nebulizing fragrance diffuser. The diffuser rotated through seven different scents from The Essential Oil Company (Portland, Oregon), one for each day of the week: rose, orange, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, rosemary, and lavender.…

Early Years Born Emanuel Swedberg in Stockholm, Sweden, on January 29, 1688, he was the second son of Jesper Swedberg, a pastor in Sweden’s Lutheran state church. At the age of eleven Emanuel entered the University of Uppsala, where his father was a professor. Although Jesper left the university to become bishop of Skara a few years later, Emanuel remained at Uppsala, completing his studies in 1709. As was customary for wealthy young Swedish men of his time, he then journeyed abroad to expand on what he had learned. His first stop was England—a worldwide center of learning and a major maritime power—where he studied the observational techniques of royal astronomer John Flamsteed (1646–1719) and traveled in the same intellectual circles as luminaries like Sir Isaac Newton (1643–1727) and Edmund Halley (1656–1742). Emanuel also studied geology, botany, zoology, and the mechanical sciences under a number of scholars, inventors, and mechanics, later continuing those studies in Amsterdam and Paris. When he returned to Sweden more than five years later, he worked as an assistant to Swedish inventor Christopher Polhem (1661–1751). As a result of the association, Emanuel was introduced to Sweden’s King Charles XII (1682–1718), who was impressed with Emanuel’s intellect and arranged for him to be given a position at the Board of Mines. The appointment was significant and prestigious because at that time the mines were a vital part of Sweden’s economy. The position suited Emanuel, not only because of family connections to the mining industry, but because it gave him ample opportunities for scientific research. After Charles XII’s death in 1718, his sister Ulrika Eleonora (1688–1741) ascended to the throne. In 1719, she ennobled the Swedberg family, changing their name to Swedenborg, the name by which Emanuel is known today. Scientific Research During this early period, most of Swedenborg’s intellectual energy was funneled into scientific and technical work. In the years immediately following his return to Sweden, he published a scientific journal titled Daedalus Hyperboreus. Although the journal was intended to highlight Polhem’s accomplishments, it also included a number of Swedenborg’s own ideas and inventions, including plans for a flying machine. The journal was followed by books on chemistry and physics, as well as the first book in Swedish on algebra. Swedenborg’s first major publication was Opera Philosophica et Mineralia (Philosophical and Metallurgical Works), a three-volume set printed in 1734. Philosophical and Metallurgical Works was written in Latin and published abroad for circulation to an international audience. Eating disorders - What Does the Mando Method Mean for Independent Recovery? With Michael Leon, Ph.D, Professor Emeritus, Neurobiology and Behavior, School of Biological Sciences There is evidence that the Mando method, a treatment which focuses on normalising eating behaviours, works better than CBT for eating disorders as tested in existing clinical trials. This may be partly because almost all existing trials employ laughable definitions of remission and recovery and stop long before participants could realistically be considered stably healthy. But it may also be because the constituents of the Mando treatment that are different from CBT are substantially enhancing its efficacy. I ask what the efficacy of the Mando method means for you if you’re recovering alone without the benefit of a Mando clinic or other therapeutic support for weight restoration. The main elements of the Mando method are: the Mandometer, which progressively normalises your eating speed and your fullness signalling; rest in a warm room for an hour after eating; and no structured exercise. That's all I needed, I realized that OOBE's might be the perfect way for me to contact my dad. I made the decision to take control of my OOBE's. I read everything I could get my hands on about OOBE's, and did all the exercises every night. I thought of almost nothing else. And with obsessed persistence I eventually began leaving my body in a controlled manner. I focused my mind and became very dedicated with my intentions. Soon after reaching the controlled out of body state, I was able to find my dad and communicate with him. Not long after in 2001, I was involved in a bizarre accident, experiencing an NDE (near death experience). After experiencing this NDE, I immediately remembered experiencing another NDE when I was 9 years old. I share my 2001 NDE in my blog. My 2001 NDE helped intensify what my guides call my quickening process. I share my experiences, not trying to prove anything to anyone, but just to share.
