“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'” – Matthew 9:37–38 The harvest that Jesus is talking about in the verses above are people who are separated from God because of their sin. Jesus longs to see his people turn to himself. To be loved, protected, and rescued from their sins. So he commanded his disciples to proclaim this good news. Jesus clearly says that the harvest of people is plentiful. The problem is not that the harvest is not ready to hear. The problem is the laborers are few.
