"When you are consistently living to someone else’s view of you and what they say you should and shouldn’t be doing, you literally, physically become ill. Your body cannot survive in those situations.

And that was the point I got to. Where the toxicity in the relationship and the marriage was so bad and I had lost myself so far that I ended up being hospitalized a couple of times because ent blood pressure was out of control, my thyroid was out of control, my kidneys were doing really bad. At one point I was on 12 different medications. And no one could really give me a definitive answer about what was wrong. I was just literally physically failing and I was so not being true to myself. And with in less that a year of leaving thy marriage I was off every single med except one."
