The importance of the Front Office Manager
Following the success of episode 19 where we looked into the importance of the Front of house Manager, we thought it only right and fair to delve into the importance of that role’s close relative, the Front Office Manager.
Joining Phil to do this was three more wonderful IOH members in the form of Jamine Zaman AIH, Johanna Dlugosch MIH and Samantha Rieu FIH, all of whom have had exposure to the role in one form or another.
In their chat they looked at just how important the role of Front Office Manager is and covered: -
- What is the Front Office Manager?
- The Many forms it can take
- Where does the Front Office Manager feature within the industry?
- The important attributes of a Front Office Manager
- The day-to-day challenges of the role
- How the role has adapted to a post covid world
- The experience and knowledge to seek out to become an awesome Front Office Manager
And so much more.
Our guests also gave us their reasons for saying I’m in to the IOH which included: -
- To branch out from the place you work
- To share knowledge
- Inspiring others to continue their development
- Networking
- The events
- To use its body of knowledge to self-improve
Our panel really brought the knowledge and passion to the discussion resulting in a pretty obvious conclusion, the role of Front Office Manager is incredibly important.
Enjoy!
