My birth name is Michael David Bowley, but I would love for you all to refer to me as MickMacMike, especially when I am nervous. I will reveal why shortly.
I was born in 1955 in Bristol and grew up in post-World War II England, an era characterised by significant social and cultural change. From the off, I apparently was a dab hand at being a robust rugrat followed by a somewhat eccentric curtain climber. When I found my feet, it was said, "I had come of age."
I witnessed the rise of various movements and trends in art, literature, and entertainment—in other words, crayon books, comics, and the cinema.
What about books? Sadly, books took a long time to arrive in my hands.
That little nugget will become more transparent for you in Episode 1, where I will reveal the story of a broken nose, a shed full of milk floats, a newspaper delivery service without using a push bike, and why I fell asleep during my school years.
I will also reveal the problem of playing truant from all English lessons and what happened to change my life at the age of 13.
They say you never stop learning. Well, I can confirm it is accurate.
Unknowingly, the most complex word for me to pronounce is anthropomorphism, meaning anthropomorphic storytelling involving human characteristics to non-human entities like animals or objects,. A word which took nearly 70 years to reach me.
What's the most complex word you must consider before uttering it in conversation?
In Episode 1, the introduction to MickMacMike, the anthropomorphic storyteller in South America, I promise to answer all your questions. If I missed anything, please send me your questions via my Scripted Authenticity - Home to Anthropomorphism website, quoting, "What the heck happened to MickMacMike when he was a child?"
I will answer the best questions in Episodes 1 & 2 - More about MickMacMike and anthropomorphism.
As the sun sets on my empty coffee mug, join me in Episode 1 as I unravel the mysteries of my childhood and the unexpected twists that shaped my life. Stay tuned for the revealing journey ahead as I, MickMacMike, step into the spotlight and share my tale like never before.
Until then, sip your coffee slowly and prepare for the adventure that awaits!"
