Families come in all sizes and shapes. Married, unmarried, registered domestic partners, LGBTQ+, kids, step kids…. The planning issues and options are endless, and each carries its own tax, legal, and emotional ramifications. It’s complicated. In this episode, Danielle breaks out of the norm and encourages us to start talking about the business issues of relationships.
Danielle P. Barger is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law (State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization), a designation reserved for those attorneys who are able to meet California’s comprehensive education and experience requirements in the field of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Danielle is committed to providing valuable legal services to families and helping them make important life decisions for their family which can impact them for years to come. A large part of her estate practice includes advising non-traditional families, including LGBTQ+ clients, in their estate planning needs. In addition to crafting exceptional estate plans for her clients, Danielle provides business planning services. She firmly believes that for the business person, business planning and estate planning go hand in hand to protect their assets and provide for a smooth succession to his or her heirs. Having owned and operated her own law firm for eight years, and then re-launching a new law firm in 2020, Danielle understands first-hand the issues and problems facing business owners. As a result of her real world experience, she is able to better advise her business clients. Danielle is a San Diego native who holds degrees from the University of Southern California, the University of California Los Angeles, and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Danielle is affiliated with the San Diego County Bar Association, the California State Bar Association, the Nevada State Bar Association, Wealth Counsel and ProVisors.
