2023 Nissan Rogue: Engine & Efficiency Review
The Nissan Rogue has been a staple compact SUV for families and commuters since its debut back in 2007. Practical in every way, the Nissan Rogue was and is praised for its durable build quality, frugal gas economy, and ample interior space. However, the Nissan Rogue had one downside — its lack of power. Sure, the pre-2022 model’s 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque wasn’t bad per se, but it left us yearning for a bit more oomph. Especially with 5 passengers and 74.1 cubic feets worth of cargo, older Nissan Rogue models could feel a little bit sluggish and underpowered.
Thankfully, Nissan has noticed this and has equipped both the 2022 and 2023 Nissan Rogue with one engine option: a new turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder capable of 201 horsepower & 225 lb-ft of torque. Boasting the title of “Best-in-class standard torque”, the 2023 Nissan Rogue bests the competition in terms of performance. https://www.saffordbrownnissansterling.com/blog/2023/august/3/2023-nissan-rogue-engine-efficiency-overview.htm
