God Does It, and We Help (Part 2 - The Wind, the Clouds, and God)
Manage episode 398389143 series 3551694
This series is being released at the same time as the "Freedom From the Torment of the Middle Ground" episode - we encourage you to listen to these three episodes together, they are closely intertwined.
We're going to build upon what we were speaking about in Part 1 - casting the bread of life out upon the waters. Evangelistically, we can look at the "wind" in the verses below as the work of Satan, and the "clouds" as potential problems. The enemy doesn't want you sharing the Gospel, doing the work of Christ. He uses fear and uncertainty to discourage and silence. If you're wrapped up in the "what-ifs" of how people will respond to you as you do the work that Jesus has called you to do. If you're worried about what might happen, you'll never get around to speaking, to sharing, to actually giving people the Word of God.
Ecclesiastes 11:4-6
4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
NEW BOOK! I'm pleased to say that we have completed a new book that has been years in the making. The Ten Shirot: Songs of Redemption looks at ten songs that were sung through pivotal times in Scripture. It's an examination of the redemption of Jesus, of worship, and of Scripture in a way that we believe you probably haven't seen before. Check it out at https://a.co/d/0a4KIooL .
The Redeeming Love Bible Broadcast is a ministry of Grace Baptist Tabernacle. We're located at 121 Arborside Lane in King, NC and we can be reached at welcome@gracebaptisttabernacle.org.
