Welcome back to the podcast! Today's guest is Sally Gibney, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes four and a half years ago.

Sally is a senior project manager at the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, where she provides leadership in developing and executing program strategies for catalyzing innovative practice change in pediatrics. She also hosts the Center's podcast, The Brain Architects. Sally lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her partner, Charlie, and their newborn son, James.

I met Sally about nine months ago when she enrolled in our Decide and Conquer Bootcamp. Despite looking like the “perfect” type 1 on paper with a 5.9 A1C and 91% time and range, she was experiencing intense diabetes burnout.

Now, almost a year later, she's here with us today to share her story about…

  • Reclaiming her mental health with T1D
  • Transitioning from daily injections to an insulin pump for the first time
  • Finding a diabetes community that helped her unlock more freedom with T1D than she thought was possible
  • Going through IVF with type one diabetes and becoming a first-time parent
  • Overcoming perfectionism with her numbers
  • …and so much more!

We are now enrolling for the next round of the Decide and Conquer Bootcamp, our signature group coaching program for women with T1D. Spots are limited and we begin August 22nd. Learn more and apply HERE.
