Have you heard of the term “helicopter mom”? A mom who takes an overprotective or excessive interest in the life of her child or children.
Maybe this definition sounds all too familiar to you when it comes to parenting your teenage daughter. I know you have a huge heart to protect your girl from the bad things in this world. I would have to agree that us moms really do.
However, there comes a point where we simply have to release the reigns a bit to help guide your teenager through life’s difficulties whether by situation or choice.
