#202 - Senator, Gearhead and ModernJeeper Mark R Maynard of West Virginia
Manage episode 353555025 series 2930117
Hello ModernJeepers, Matson from MetalCloak here and welcome to Episode 202 of The ModernJeeper Show…the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
Corey & Jessy are back at the ModernJeeper Compound. I, of course, am joining them from MetalCloak World Headquarters in Northern California.
And we are joined this week by a VERY SPECIAL GUEST... West Virginia State Senator Mark R. Maynard.
This is an amazing episode, and it was such a pleasure to speak with the Senator We talk gas station living, old cars, driving lessons at 8, going from cars to 4x4's, when he finally figured out, he needed a Jeep, why he keeps the Scat pack in the garage and drives a Beemer to work, and what his favorite trail is and the Jeep that got him there.
Senator Maynard is also the Chairman of the newly formed Outdoor Recreation Committee and he has taken on that role with the same level of enthusiasm that we would expect from someone who used to work on Jim Heads Nitro Funny Car. From the Motorsports Responsibility Act to Allowing the Carry of Firearms onto State Property to Forestry Trail Access for the Disabled, he is taking on some of the great causes of our time.
And he is not just limited to West Virginia, he is using his office to help everywhere he can, including the fight for Oceano Dunes and holding a board seat on the Blue Ribbon Coalition.
For the full experience, check out the episode at YouTube.com/modernjeeper.
And, of course, we are incredibly grateful to our supporters and friends including Warn Winches, Raceline Wheels, Bestop, Baja Designs, Milestar Tires, Rugged Radios, Adventure Rack Systems and, of course, MetalCloak.
Now, sit back, relax with a cold one, and enjoy Episode #202 of The ModernJeeper Show.
