Sandra Beck of Military Mom Talk Radio speaks with Dr Donald Moses about red flags, warning signs and raising teenagers in challenging times. Donald A. Moses, M.D. is a practicing psychiatrist with more than 45 years of experience treating drug and alcohol addiction/abuse. He is a clinical instructor on the voluntary staff of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He has also served as an instructor in psychotherapy at Columbia P & S (NY Presbyterian) Hospital in New York. His experience with drug addiction began in 1962 on the heroin detoxification unit of Metropolitan Hospital in New York. Following this period, Dr. Moses was a psychiatric consultant to the Long Island Jewish Hospital Adolescent Drug Day-Treatment Center and the Triboro Hospital Opiate Addiction Unit. Currently, he is in private practice using psychodynamic therapy in the outpatient treatment of drug and alcohol abusers. Dr. Moses is the author of Are You Driving Your Children to Drink?/Coping With Teenage Alcohol and Drug Abuse, has written several articles, and is a reviewer for a professional journal.
