Life is Chess, Not Checkers (and sometimes you just have to laugh at it) with special guest Jamee Damron
Manage episode 361114958 series 3442494
Welcome to the Middle Age(ish) Podcast, hosted by Ashley Bedosky, Lisa Kelly, Dr. Pam Wright, and Trisha Kennedy Roman. In this episode we talk with Actress, Comedian, and Life Coach Jamee Damron.
Jamee was an absolute hoot to talk to! She has taken the most difficult parts of her life and learned how to grow and become stronger from those losses and challenges. Her experience in theater and stand up comedy have helped her take a unique approach to working with her coaching clients and helping them face their fears sometimes with improv.
"There is a CEO sitting inside of you because of what you have experienced. You have courage, you have empathy, and you have overcome loss."– Jamee Damron
We had so much fun reminiscing about things we experienced when we were younger, from corded phones, typing class in school, to Casey Kasem's top 40 Countdown! We all agreed that we were glad we were born when we did and are at this Middle Ageish point in life.
We had fun laughing about the crazy things we experience as we reach this Middle Ageish period of life, from forgetfulness to weight gain. Despite all of the changes we go through, psychologically and physically, we all agreed that at this point we are becoming more confident than we have ever been. "You gain confidence in your older age. Then obviously you have to add humor, because life just sucks if you don't have some humor." – Ashley Bedosky
