Recently, men have fallen victim to homophobic violence perpetrated by groups targeting users of dating apps like Grindr. Men are lured into vulnerable settings and abused, assaulted, and demeaned – violently in some cases. We through this quickie (also available on Well Well Well) to speak to police about what is being done to protect queer men using apps.
Jeremy Oliver (they/he) is the LGBTIQA+ Communities Portfolio Manager with Victoria Police and spearheading the investigation into Grindr and app related safety
